The Corvallis Community Band will present its winter concert, "Illuminated Celebrations: Music of Tradition and Light." A family friendly eclectic program will highlight the many delights of the season with music from classical and contemporary composers.
The concert will include include music from The Polar Express, "The Christmas Waltz," "Christmas Time is Here" from the classic Charlie Brown Christmas and "A Most Wonderful Christmas," as well as a medley of holiday favorites. Illuminating and uplifting selections include Alfred Reed's "Alleluia Laudamus Te," "Joy Revisited" by Frank Ticheli, and Sheldon's "One Thousand Cranes." Guest performers are from the Corvallis Academy of Ballet, the Willamette Apprentice Ballet and Bones Appetit, a trombone quartet.
There is no admission fee and no tickets are required.
