Now everyone can become a “Corvallis Explorer” with an app produced by a local app development company. Innovation happens in Corvallis, too.
Women-owned Corvallis company HospitalityVision developed the well-known official Albany Explorer App featuring "Pioneering Women in History" in partnership with the Oregon Cultural Trust, the Albany Regional Museum and Albany Visitors Association. Now hotel guests and even locals can enjoy the Corvallis version. The Corvallis Explorer was created before the pandemic and put it on hold. It just launched as a new “fun experience” platform where users can get to know our community up close and personal.
The Corvallis Explorer has launched with video clips from local women chefs. It also offers rock climbing, kayaking and baseball tickets in one place, plus more casual videos from local businesses, such as “Meet the Grower,” from the Farmers Market, and "The Art of Making a Sandwich" from University Hero. There's also an interactive, location-based tour of street art on the app, plus a link to HospitalityVision's digital EZ Map. Guests can send a Corvallis postcard, browse a wellness section, and more, too.
The Corvallis Explorer app features a nonbinary 24/7 chatbot named Charlie. Go ahead and ask them to tell you a joke.
New app users can enter to win a Corvallis Staycation. Check out the app explorer cards being handed out to people now - you can find them at the Corvallis Visitors Center, as well as other locations.
HospitalityVision is local, so Corvallis will always come first. That's why they created this app. HospitalityVision would also like to thank Kathi Hutchinson of Windermere Willamette Valley Real Estate, another local woman in business, for helping make this happen with her sponsorship.
