Outdoor farmers’ markets open Saturday, April 19 in downtown Albany and Corvallis

The Corvallis and Albany Farmers Markets will open for the 2025 season on April 19. The 32-week regular season runs through Nov. 22 in Albany and Nov. 26 (the day before Thanksgiving) in Corvallis. December “bonus” farmers’ markets are planned for Dec. 6 in Corvallis and Dec. 13 in Albany. Hours are 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at all sites.

This is the 45th season for the Wednesday market and the 35th season for the Corvallis Saturday event. Albany is in its 48th season.

Details can be found on LocallyGrown.org and social media pages (Facebook and Instagram) for each location.

The Albany Farmers’ Market is at 4th and Ellsworth, occupying the City Hall parking lot and an adjacent block of 4th Avenue on Saturdays.

The Corvallis Farmers’ market is at 1st and Jackson. On Saturdays, it covers 1.5 blocks of 1st Street (½ block north of Jackson Ave. south to Monroe Ave.), plus a block of Monroe Ave. from 1st to 2nd Street.

Van Buren Bridge traffic changes are continuing. As in 2024, vehicles will not be allowed to turn south on First from Van Buren during Saturday markets.

The Wednesday Market footprint is smaller, occupying one block of 1st Street and a ½ block on Monroe Ave. in Corvallis. It opens April 23.

An artisan faire market operates next to the Corvallis Farmers’ Market but is not run by CAFM. This year it will be in the street south of the farmers’ market. For more information, contact Stephen Poole at scdmpoole@peak.org.

Most CAFM vendors are growing fruits and vegetables, plants, or cut flowers, gathered and cultivated mushrooms, or are raising meat, poultry, eggs or honey. What’s in season varies from week to week and is influenced by weather and production methods, including the tall greenhouses called “high tunnels” that some farmers use.

The exceptions to CAFM’s farm-direct selection criteria are a limited number of restaurants, baked goods, beverages and other prepared foods. These categories are generally filled, but potential vendors can submit a pre-application on LocallyGrown.org.

New and expanding vendors

New vendors are signed up in both cities, and a few old favorites are moving within the market footprint. The Corvallis site will have new vendors on Monroe and on the north side of First. Newcomers will be sprinkled throughout the Albany site.

The best way to preview is to look at the daily market maps online. Under Markets, there are individual links for each site/day. Or start here.

New Albany vendors include Dot Ranch, GO Java, G2 Deep Sea Excursion with seafood, and a new corn vendor.

New Corvallis vendors include: No Regrets Flower Farm and Animal Sanctuary, which is known for creating goat yoga, Wild Coast Seafoods, and Wilt Blueberry Farm/Sunset Valley Organics.
