Pioneer Park runs along the Marys River. It features a lighted softball field and open playing fields often used for Frisbee. A multi-modal path runs near the park and joins it to downtown on the east, Oregon State University on the north, and Bruce Starker Arts Park & Natural Area and Philomath on the west. There are fitness stations along this path. There's a small sandy beach near the railroad trestle on the north side of the river that provides swimming access when the water levels are low in the summer.
