Pumpkin Patches Around Corvallis

The leaves are changing color and sweeping our streets and yards, and there's a little nip in the air that wasn't there before - it must be fall! And if it's fall, then that must mean it's time to round up the family and head out to the local pumpkin patch to find the perfect Halloween pumpkin. It's time for hayrides and corn mazes, donuts and cider, and all the harvest fun that October promises.

Corvallis and Benton County are full of farms and farm stands, many of which host pumpkin patches or offer pumpkins, gourds and squashes this time of year. Here's a few must-see stops to check out!

1. Davis Family Farms

Visit the Davis Family Farms to enjoy hay rides to their pumpkin patch daily. Go on a hayride, solve their corn maze, and take part on kids' activities. You can buy pumpkins to carve or paint while you're there, and there's cider and donuts available for purchase, too. For more information call 541-752-0697.

The Melon Shack's corn maze is perfect for kids and families. The weekend haunted maze takes their corn maze and kicks it up a notch for spooky evening fun.

The Melon Shack's Pumpkin Patch is open daily. Hayrides are available on the weekend and other activities include a kids' train ride, the Super Slide, and a hay fort.
